Google Trends (go google “Google Trends” to check it out) was until recently, for me in any case, nothing more than an okay-ish niche research tool. If you had a keyword phrase with relatively enough searches per day you could at least see on a graph whether there was any activity, albeit seasonal or not. Google has never been up front and open about their collected data in any case and even the most seasoned niche researchers would not be able to pin-point the exact amount of searches per day. So this is where my video comes in. It is 23 minutes long and I apologize. However, there is some good content so it’s definitely worth it. I also introduce the humble, though best research tool ever called GTrends SE. Enjoy!

I came across this video I made and forgot about late last year. It is a little experiment I did to test how fast I would rank for a certain key phrase using Web 2.o properties. The web 2.0 platform I used was Weebly.com There are many free hosting platforms out there. However Google certainly seems to prefer some above others from time to time. If you feel you need to do some testing on certain key words and how fast they would rank I can definitely recommend Weebly at this time.
Obviously it need not stay at testing. Weebly is great for building full-fledged web sites and is has some great extra features like adding custom code, feeds and more great stuff. The most important thing is that Weebly ranks well and fast. The last statement is obviously relative to the competitiveness of your niche key phrase.
